Accessing someone else’s information

Proxy access allows parents, family members or carers to have access to their patients’ online services accounts, in order to book appointments, request repeat medication and where applicable, view their medical records.

For the purposes of online access any patient aged 13 years or older must give consent themselves for anyone to have access to their online services account.

For further details on how to apply for proxy access please speak to a member of the reception team.

Linked profiles in your NHS account

Once proxy access is set up, you can access the other person’s profile in your NHS account, using the NHS App or website.

The NHS website has information about using linked profiles to access services for someone else.
