Appointments

Before booking an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals or our wellbeing pages to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.

For minor ailments your local pharmacy is able to provide a range of treatments and advice when illness is likely to be self-limiting.

Any injury sustained within the last 4 weeks can be assessed at Buxton’s minor injuries unit without appointment, there is also access to on site x-ray when appropriate.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires attention and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

Please keep this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
