Opening times

Enhanced access

Patients at Elmwood will be able to access appointments Monday to Friday up to 8pm every night at surgeries across the High Peak area.

Routine appointments will also be available on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays in either New Mills or Buxton.

Rota for Buxton and High Peak:

• Monday – Thornbrook Surgery in Chapel, Arden House in New Mills.
• Tuesday – Goyt Valley Medical Practice in Whaley Bridge, Buxton Medical Practice in Buxton.
• Wednesday – Sett Valley Medical Centre in New Mills, Elmwood Medical Centre in Buxton.
• Thursday – Stewart Medical Centre in Buxton, Hartington Surgery.
• Friday – (on rotation, please contact the surgery for details).
• Saturday – appointment only at Buxton Cottage Hospital.
• Sunday – appointment only at New Mills Health Centre.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Accessibility

There is disabled access to the surgery, with all consulting rooms and a disabled toilet on the ground floor. There is a small patient car park at the front of the building.

We also have an induction loop for the hearing impaired in the reception area.
